matt and i did another big book purge this week. i do it every time that i move, but i hadn’t moved in 2 1/2 years, so they had really accumulated. if it didn’t fall in the categories: a) loved it so much that i might read it again, b) reference, or c) milo might need it for school, it went into two huge bags to sell at powell’s, and all the ones that they didn’t take are going to be donated to the local library branch.

i really don’t understand holding onto books that you will probably never read again. and if you don’t like them enough to read them again, why would you loan them out? are you keeping them on the shelves just to prove that you read them? to impress people who are coming over? why do you need to prove to anyone that you read books? it’s so strange to me.
